The SPKB-04 Sturmvogel from the image Gallery (US version)
A combination tank developed to complement the shortcomings of both floating and walking tanks. The heavily armed but less maneuverable walking tank Bein [legs] is combined with the floating tank Flüegel [wings], which is lightly armed but has excellent mobility, and transported by air to the battlefield. Upon arrival, Flüegel separates from Bein and becomes lightweight, launching a support attack from the air. This tactic was so well suited for paratrooper operations that requests from many paratroopers flooded in at the prototype stage. However, the expensive electromagnetic weapon was a disaster, the production efficiency was poor, and mass production was not achieved.
